Celebrating 35 Years of The Sound of Sunday

Neil Ogden’s Sound of Sunday went on the air for the first time on Hospital Radio Basingstoke on 24 March 1991.  35 years on and the show is still on the air every Sunday at 1.30pm on the station that now broadcasts around Basingstoke on DAB as well as online.

The show will be celebrating with a specially extended show on 29 March which will include an hour of music played entirely on vinyl, as was the case 35 years ago.

There will also be 3 prizes inthe Weekend Prize Draw as well as all the regular features for a Sunday afternon.

Friends of the show will also choose their favourite songs from the last 35 years.

The show has been produced by Studio 63 Media for 10 years along with spin offs and associated shows.  The show’s dedicated website is at www.soundofsunday.co.uk.
